In Vietnam, Vissan’s sausage making business accounted for about 60%, or roughly USD 24.4 million of the company’s total profits for the nine months of financial year 2015. In 2014 revenues, earned from sausages only accounted for 25.4% of Vissan’s total revenue. “For Vissan, sausages are a staple product contributing significantly to the profits of the company,” General Director Van Duc Muoi said. He added that Vissan is the leader in providing packaged sterilised sausages, holding 65% of the domestic sausages market. As of early March, the company’s products were already available in 223 supermarkets, 703 convenience stores, 59 showrooms and a wide range of distributors and agents. In addition, its sausages are also exported to Laos and Cambodia.
